“Are folding e-bikes harder to balance?”

It's:

“Does this folding e-bike feel predictable and manageable for me?”

If you're considering one, pay attention to fit, controls, weight, tires, geometry, and the kind of riding you'll actually do. If you can test ride it, spend less time chasing maximum speed and more time practicing ordinary situations: start, stop, turn, slow down, get a foot down, and maneuver the bike at walking pace.

Those everyday moments will tell you much more about confidence than wheel size alone.

A folding e-bike may take a short adjustment period if you're coming from a larger bicycle, but different doesn't mean difficult—and compact doesn't automatically mean unstable.

The right bike should feel like something you control naturally, not something you're constantly fighting.
